London at Night

As we came into land at Heathrow we recognised the Thames River and the London Eye (see arrow). The London Eye is said to be the world's highest observational wheel. It is135 metres high on the South Bank between Waterloo and Westminster Bridges, right opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. We could almost make out some of that but intend to experience it in daylight later in the year.
